Venture Speech LLC

Venture Speech Therapy LLC provides movement-based speech therapy services to families in Golden, Wheat Ridge, and Arvada Colorado. The team collaborates with families who are eager to enhance their children's communication skills for success in all of life's adventures. Speech takes place in various settings including the gym office, pool, nature trail, farm, and via telehealth. Speech-Language Pathologists at Venture Speech are trained in Talk Yoga SLP and offer yoga speech groups for littles. The staff are active and out of the box thinkers and enjoy creating learning plans and activities for active kiddos who may struggle to sit still and suggest practice ideas for busy families.

Specialty areas include speech sounds, language, stuttering, social communication, and AAC. Venture Speech also works with local schools as a school contractor providing services that align with IEPs and partners with local preschools for complimentary speech and language screenings. The team partners with speech language pathology graduate and assistant programs to offer observation hours for the next generation of therapists. The team also actively participates in the state Colorado Speech Hearing Association's education and public policy committees.

As a neurodivergent individual, Venture Speech owner Taylor takes pride in recognizing and respecting the diverse ways in which all brains process and engage with the world and a neurodiversity affirming care approach is used. The team prioritizes your child's safety and regulation and are trauma informed. Speech therapy is individualized and tailored towards your child's interests and is child-led, adult-guided. A total communication approach is used which values all forms of expression such as spoken language, gestures, ASL, and/or the use of an AAC device. The team encourages your child to build self-awareness and self-advocacy skills to discover their preferred ways of listening and learning.

Movement is incorporated into speech sessions at the office gym, nature location, farm location, and pool location as a means to enhance engagement, reinforce concepts, and generalize skills. This typically looks like being present in a yoga pose or strolling in nature, splashing in water, shooting a basketball, climbing, or petting a farm animal. Active learning and engagement facilitate connections that are crucial for the carryover of speech skills across multiple environments. At Venture Speech, your child can connect, engage, build self-awareness, and practice communication skills in various settings!

The therapists look forward to partnering with your family to develop individualized communication goals tailored to the activities and environments your family is passionate about. Together, the team will leverage your child's strengths and passions to create a goal plan that empowers them to become their best communicator to better navigate their daily adventures.
