Venture Speech 

Venture Speech collaborates with families who are eager to enhance their children's communication skills for success in all of life's adventures. The speech-language pathologists provide movement-based, nature-based, aquatic-based, and school-based speech services.

As a neurodivergent individual, Venture Speech owner Taylor takes pride in recognizing and respecting the diverse ways in which all brains process and engage with the world and a neurodiversity affirming care approach is used. We prioritize your child's safety, emotional regulation, and are trauma informed. Speech therapy is tailored towards your child's interests and is child-led, adult-guided. A total communication approach is used which values all forms of expression such as spoken language, gestures, ASL, and/or the use of an AAC device. We encourage your child to build self-awareness and self-advocacy skills to discover their preferred ways of listening and learning.

Movement is incorporated into speech sessions at the speech gym office, nature location, and pool location as a means to enhance engagement, reinforce concepts, and generalize skills. This typically looks like being present in a yoga pose or strolling in nature, splashing in water, kicking a ball, building a fort, climbing, or creating a dance. Active learning and engagement facilitate connections that are crucial for the carryover of speech skills across multiple environments. At Venture Speech, your child can connect, engage, build self-awareness, and practice communication skills in various contexts.

We communicate with others all day long- at home, school, practice, clubs, even on a mountain top! Building confidence and communication success is our top priority!
